This past week, my school hosted their annual Hackathon–this year’s dubbed “Hack for Impact.” Hack for Impact was a full school day on Friday dedicated to students in the Information Technology pathway where they signed up for sessions led by other students and teachers.

Last year, one of my primary involvements at the school involved the program’s collaboration with Los Niños Primero, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization empowering Latino students and families.

Last week, I was beyond excited to attend Travis Scott’s Atlanta show of the Circus Maximus Tour at State Farm Arena.

This week I was reflecting on when I was invited to give a guest lecture at Linden High School’s Career Day in New Jersey last May.

Senior-year homecomings are always memorable, and I’m certainly glad to have spent mine doing what I love: connecting with people through music.

South Asian music is easily my most cherished part of my heritage. As a first-generation Indian American, I’ve learned to love both the cultural music of India and the contemporary popular music of America.

New York City is a playground I’ve romanticized for years as a musician. This summer, I was able to put my infatuation with the city to the test and spend two weeks living independently near Washington Square Park.

Dance has always been one of the most critical pillars of my life. I began as a Bollywood dancer at age four, and it has been one of the most important, consistent activities in my life ever since.

My recent conversation with Professor Rick Schmunk, Music Technology program chair at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, left me with a profound sense of awe and inspiration.

Over the past semester, I’ve been able to work as a lab member in Georgia State University’s Music Cognition and Creativity Lab.

Last weekend, I and fourteen other members of my school’s Technology Student Association (TSA) Chapter took a trip down to Jekyll Island, GA for the annual TSA Fall Leadership Conference.
